India, May 7 -- Industrialist Anil Ambani has approached the Delhi High Court with a defamation suit against NDTV and its CEO and Editor-in-Chief over reports related to investigations involving his group companies.
The High Court on Thursday issued notices to the news channel following the filing of the petition.
According to the plea submitted through advocate Hasan Murtaza, Ambani alleged that NDTV published nearly 72 articles targeting him and his business interests over recent months in connection with cases involving the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The petition further claimed that the reporting campaign was motivated and intended to damage Ambani's reputation and business standing....
