Andhra govt plans Rs 9.3 lakh cr investment push through Visakhapatnam Economic Region
India, Aug. 5 -- The Andhra Pradesh government has envisaged investments of up to Rs 9.3 lakh crore across sectors under the proposed VER.
Under the Visakhapatnam Economic Region project, the state government plans to invest up to Rs 4 lakh crore and attract Rs 5.3 lakh crore in private investment, taking the total proposed investment to Rs 9.3 lakh crore, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu reviewed the VER development plan at his camp office in Undavalli.
The government plans to anchor the VER project around the proposed Bay City development.
"The goal of the VER project is to develop the entire Visakhapatnam region through micro-level planning," Naidu said.
