Amit Shah hails Gandhinagar's Guinness record in tree plantation
India, July 13 -- Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, who represents the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, congratulated the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, over 25,000 campaign volunteers, and the people of Gandhinagar for setting a Guinness World Record by planting more than 361,000 saplings in one hour using the Miyawaki method.
The Home Minister stated that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, environmental conservation has become a nationwide movement. The 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign has engaged millions of citizens in protecting nature. He noted that the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency has energised this effort by reaching a significant milestone in environmental conservation.
