Akasa Air flight from Bengaluru to Bhubaneswar diverted to Lucknow due to bad weather
India, May 28 -- An Akasa Air flight travelling from Bengaluru to Bhubaneswar was diverted to Lucknow after encountering adverse weather conditions and low fuel levels during the journey.
According to reports, the flight operating as QP1503 issued a "PAN PAN" call while approaching Lucknow, indicating an urgent situation requiring immediate attention but not categorised as a distress emergency. Air Traffic Control subsequently declared a full emergency to ensure the aircraft could land safely.
Officials said the diversion was necessitated due to bad weather conditions that affected the scheduled route and landing operations. The aircraft later landed safely at Lucknow airport, and all passengers and crew members were reported safe.
