Air India suspends Delhi Chicago flight cuts services to San Francisco, New York and Toronto
India, May 13 -- Air India has suspended its direct Delhi-Chicago flight and reduced the frequency of several long-haul international services, including routes to San Francisco, New York, and Toronto.
According to the airline, the rationalisation of operations will be implemented between June and August 2026 as part of a broader review of its international network.
The move comes amid rising jet fuel prices, ongoing airspace restrictions over certain regions, and operational cost pressures affecting long-haul routes.
The airline has also indicated that the adjustments are part of efforts to optimise capacity and improve overall efficiency on selected international sectors.
