India, Aug. 29 -- Days after the violent clashes between the supporters of the ABVP and Left-wing student groups inside the elite Jadavpur University campus, Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday held a massive Vande Mataram rally outside the campus - otherwise considered a strong Left bastion - from where he gave a call to "mend JU as the JNU and Osmania University were corrected."

Adhikari was speaking at an "apolitical" programme where Vande Mataram was sung by ten thousand people.
