India, July 2 -- The Adani Group has proposed a massive investment of Rs.1.08 lakh crore to establish an integrated aluminium manufacturing project in Odisha, a move expected to create more than 53,000 employment opportunities. The announcement was made by Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bhubaneswar.

The proposed project will include a 4-million-tonne-per-annum alumina refinery, a 2-million-tonne-per-annum aluminium smelter, and a 1-million-tonne-per-annum downstream aluminium park.
