India, June 1 -- Trinamool Congress leader and Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee is unlikely to appear before the West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday due to health-related issues, according to sources.

The CID had summoned Banerjee in connection with an ongoing investigation into allegations involving forged signatures of party legislators. The disputed communication was reportedly submitted to the West Bengal Assembly Secretariat and is linked to the endorsement of Sovandeb Chattopadhyay as Leader of the Opposition.
