India, July 6 -- At least 4 students were injured after the main gate of a government school collapsed in Karnataka, officials said. The incident triggered panic on campus and raised fresh concerns over the safety of public school infrastructure in the state.

According to preliminary information, the iron gate of the government school suddenly gave way while students were present nearby, causing it to fall and injure several children who were standing close to the entrance. The injured students were immediately rushed for medical attention.
