India, June 21 -- A 32-year-old man allegedly died after being assaulted by fellow passengers while trying to board the Yoga Express at Shahdara railway station in East Delhi on Saturday, police said.

The incident occurred on Platform No.3, where an argument reportedly broke out among passengers amid a rush to board the train. Police said they received information about the altercation at the Old Delhi Railway Station Police Station, after which an investigating officer was immediately dispatched to the spot.

The deceased was identified as Pankaj Dhama, a resident of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Preliminary investigation revealed that Dhama was allegedly assaulted by co-passengers, who punched and kicked him during the altercation. Police sa...
