India, June 26 -- 3 people were killed and 10 others injured after a Muharram Tazia procession came into contact with a high-tension power line in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district late on Thursday night, police said.

The incident occurred around 11:15 pm in Hatnara village under the Pipaluda police station limits. According to eyewitnesses, the Tazia being carried through Mewati Mohalla accidentally touched an overhead high-voltage power line, causing a powerful electric shock.

The people carrying the Tazia were electrocuted and collapsed on the spot, while several others standing nearby also sustained injuries after coming into contact with them. Panic spread through the procession as locals rushed to help the victims before emergency ...
