India, July 9 -- At least 2 people were killed and four others injured after a massive landslide triggered by incessant rainfall struck the Shivaji Nagar area near Tezu in Arunachal Pradesh's Lohit district. The victims were reportedly migrant labourers working at a local construction site.

According to officials, several labourers were trapped under debris after the hillside collapsed. Rescue teams managed to pull out the injured, while two bodies were recovered from the site. One labourer is reported to have escaped on his own before rescue operations began.
