India, Aug. 5 -- Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukraine's capital region overnight killed at least 15 people and injured 42 others, Ukrainian authorities claimed on Wednesday, Aug 5th.

14 people were killed and 27 injured across the wider Kyiv region, where the strikes sparked fires at warehouses, logistics facilities and other commercial sites in the Brovary, Bucha and Fastiv districts, Ukraine's State Emergency Service mentioned.

In Kyiv, one person was killed and 15 others were injured. Emergency crews extinguished fires caused by the attacks in the Obolonskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Holosiivskyi and Desnianskyi districts, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
