India, July 11 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday transferred more than Rs 1,423 crore to the bank accounts of 97.84 lakh social security pension beneficiaries through DBT and announced that the 10th of every month would be observed as 'Bihar Pension Day'.

Addressing a function in Patna, Choudhary said no eligible person would be deprived of pension benefits and announced that a special campaign would be launched to identify and enrol those left out of the schemes.

The virtual event was attended by social security pension beneficiaries, district magistrates from across the State, and other dignitaries.
