India, July 2 -- India has reiterated its uncompromising stand against terrorism at the United Nations, urging the international community to adopt a unified, zero-tolerance approach to eliminate terrorism in all its forms.

Speaking during the adoption of the Ninth Review of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, stressed that terrorism can never be justified, regardless of political, ideological, or strategic reasons.

Declaring that "a terrorist is a terrorist," Harish said the world must work together to root out the "murderous ideology" behind terrorism instead of attempting to justify or rationalise such acts.
