Manila, Aug. 12 -- Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri on Wednesday denied that senators' project lists ever passed through his office when he was Senate president, following former public works secretary Manuel Bonoan's claim that senators were given infrastructure allocations of up to PHP1 billion each under a "leadership fund."

Bonoan is currently facing plunder and graft charges before the Sandiganbayan over alleged kickbacks involving flood-control projects. The anti-graft court earlier ordered his arrest in connection with a PHP573 million plunder case and subsequently allowed him to remain under hospital arrest.
