Manila, March 9 -- In observance of National Women's Month, the House of Representatives under Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III will hold its traditional Women's Month plenary session Monday, allowing female lawmakers to preside over proceedings and lead discussions on issues affecting women, gender equality and social development.

"This Women's Month session reflects our recognition of the vital role women play in shaping laws, strengthening institutions and advancing our nation," House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos of Ilocos Norte said in a news release.

The session, scheduled at 3 p.m., is part of the chamber's annual tribute to the role of women in nation-building and public service.
