Manila, Sept. 11 -- Combined agriculture and infrastructure damage caused by several tropical cyclones and the southwest monsoon (habagat) already hit PHP15.5 billion, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Friday.

The agency placed agricultural damage at around PHP4.37 billion, reported in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Cordillera, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and Western Visayas.

Affected farmers and fisherfolk numbered around 98,836, while the total affected crop area was placed at around 81, 305.09 hectares.

Of the affected areas, 57,379.59 hectares were classified as capable of recovery, while an estimated 23,926.31 hectares were deemed incapable.
