Manila, May 2 -- Malacanang has issued a travel authority allowing Vice President Sara Z. Duterte to embark on overseas travels May 2 to 15.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed that the Office of the President (OP) approved Duterte's request to travel on the said dates.
Duterte earlier submitted a travel plan covering several European and Asian destinations.
Her original itinerary included visits to the Netherlands, South Korea, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom from April 23 to May 15.
However, her schedule was later adjusted following the OP's alleged "last-minute" issuance of the foreign travel authority.
Malacanang denied the claim, saying the issuance followed standard procedures.
