Manila, Sept. 19 -- The United States, Canada and the European Union (EU) expressed concern over the latest actions by the China Coast Guard (CCG) that led to a minor collision and damage of a Filipino civilian vessel while it was conducting a humanitarian mission off Palawan on September 18.

"Canada is concerned by the Chinese Coast Guard deliberately ramming into a Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) fisheries enforcement vessel off the coast of the Philippines. These dangerous maneuvers jeopardize regional peace and stability," the Canadian Embassy in Manila said in a statement on Saturday.
