Manila, Aug. 1 -- Several parts of the country will experience rains due to the trough of a low-pressure area (LPA), the weather bureau said on Saturday.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was located 960 km. east of southeastern Luzon as of 3 a.m.

Its trough will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Quezon, and Marinduque.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the archipelago.
