Manila, March 10 -- The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) will bring rains over most parts of the country, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
Located 1,315 km. east of Eastern Visayas as of 2 a.m., the LPA has a high chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.
On Tuesday, the LPA's trough will bring scattered rains and thunderstorms across the Visayas, Mindanao and Masbate.
Moderate to heavy rains could result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
