Manila, Oct. 13 -- The Department of Tourism (DOT) - Cordillera is urging tourism establishments here and in Benguet province to adopt water-saving measures in preparation for the effects of El Nino.

"We have started posting information and reminders near faucets to encourage our clients to conserve water," Darryl Bersamira, managing partner of Ridgewood Hotel, said during a Baguio-Benguet orientation and action meeting on climate resilience and water security for tourism enterprises on Thursday.

Bersamira said the hotel is also preparing an informational video on water conservation to be shown on television sets in guest rooms.
