Manila, March 12 -- Anti-illegal drug operatives on Wednesday seized PHP47.6 million worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation in Sibuto, Tawi-Tawi.

The operation also led to the arrest of two high-value suspects, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said in a news release Thursday.

Authorities confiscated seven golden-yellow tea bags labeled "Guanyinwang" containing about 7 kg. of suspected shabu.

The suspects, identified only as Alvin and Ben, both residents of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi, will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, PDEA said.
