Manila, March 10 -- Sultan Kudarat Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu has revived the Provincial Price Stabilization Council (PPSC) to help protect consumers from unscrupulous traders amid rising petroleum prices caused by the Middle East crisis.

On Tuesday, Mangudadatu signed Executive Order 112, reactivating the PSPC "as a proactive measure to address the rising concerns over increasing prices of fuel and basic commodities."

"This is to ensure prices of basic commodities, especially petroleum products, are in accordance with the government-set pricing and to ensure stable supply of essential goods in the province," he said in a statement Tuesday.
