DAVAO CITY, July 14 -- Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Secretary Leo Tereso Magno has cited the potentials of South Cotabato as both an agricultural powerhouse and an emerging tourism destination to drive inclusive regional development.

Magno said South Cotabato's six decades of progress show how culture, innovation, environmental stewardship, and people-centered governance can collectively strengthen Mindanao's competitiveness and create lasting opportunities.

"Preserving identity and pursuing development are not competing priorities. They reinforce one another. Every success achieved by South Cotabato strengthens the larger story of Mindanao," Magno said in a MinDA news release Tuesday.
