BULUAN, July 17 -- Maguindanao del Sur Rep. Esmael Mangudadatu lauded President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for heeding and responding to calls by the people to address severe flooding in the province.

On Thursday afternoon, Mangudadatu reported to Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua the progress of flood control projects in the province.

"Oplan Kontra Baha began after I appealed to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in September 2025 to immediately address the severe flooding that has long plagued several municipalities in Maguindanao del Sur, including Buluan," Mangudadatu told Macacua.
