Social welfare takes custody of Bacolod student found with marijuana
BACOLOD CITY, July 23 -- The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) endorsed a public high school student to the custody of the city's Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) after he was found possessing dried marijuana leaves on campus on Wednesday afternoon.
In its report on Thursday, the police said security personnel recovered the suspected illegal drugs from the 17-year-old male student during a routine inspection at the entrance gate.
BCPO Director Col. Eugene Rebadomia acknowledged the prompt action of the school administration and security staff in coordinating with the police.
"The safety and well-being of our learners remain one of our top priorities," he added.
