Manila, March 4 -- Senators on Wednesday renewed calls to end hazing following the death of a 19-year-old maritime student in Cavite, saying strict enforcement of the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018 is needed to prevent similar tragedies.
Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri urged schools to strengthen safeguards against hazing and ensure proper monitoring of initiation-related activities.
