Manila, Aug. 20 -- The Senate on Thursday moved to advance the country's treaty agenda, taking up a package of international agreements covering trade, aviation security, space liability, education, extradition and cross-border criminal cooperation.

The committee on foreign relations tackled seven agreements, including protocols on crimes committed aboard aircraft; liability for damage caused by space objects; double-taxation arrangements with Cambodia and Taiwan; recognition of higher education qualifications in the Asia-Pacific; an ASEAN extradition treaty; and a mutual legal assistance pact with India.
