Manila, June 29 -- Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian on Monday announced the lifting of the "No Visitation" policy weeks after the Senate was placed under heightened alert.

In a video message, Gatchalian said visitors will now be allowed at the Senate under the Office of the Senate Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA)'s Visitor Management System.

"Bilang inyong Senate President, tungkulin kong mapanatili ang katatagan ng institusyon at matiyak ang kaligtasan ng lahat (As your Senate President, it is my duty to maintain the stability of the institution and ensure everyone's safety)," he said.

He added that the Senate will ensure the safety of the Senators, employees, media, visitors and the public.
