Manila, June 17 -- The Senate on Wednesday adopted two resolutions seeking full government support for communities devastated by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Mindanao and expressing gratitude to responders in the disaster's aftermath.

Proposed Senate Resolution No. 447, sponsored by Sen. Joel Villanueva, urges the national government to ensure adequate funding and resources for the relief, rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery of earthquake-hit communities.
