Manila, Oct. 27 -- Parts of Albay province will experience a 12-hour power interruption on Thursday as the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) reconfigures transmission lines, while the Albay Electric Cooperative Inc. (Aleco) schedules distribution line improvements in several areas.

In an advisory Tuesday, NGCP said the power interruption will be from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. to facilitate reconfiguration of the tapping pole for the new Aleco Cullat Load-end Substation.

The activity requires shutting down the Daraga-Sto. Domingo 69-kilovolt (kV) transmission line, affecting the Salvacion Load-end Substation and Sta. Misericordia Feeders 1 and 2.
