S. Korean, Japanese nabbed in separate ops in Pampanga, Makati
Manila, July 1 -- A South Korean national wanted by authorities in his home country for his alleged role in a sophisticated telecommunications fraud scheme has been arrested in Pampanga, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported Wednesday.
According to Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado, Park Junhyeon, 44, was arrested by agents of the BI's Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City on June 28.
The operation was conducted in coordination with South Korean authorities, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-National Capital Region and the Department of Justice.
