Manila, March 13 -- Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. reiterated the value of a resilient military infrastructure in a nation's defense particularly an archipelagic one.
"An archipelagic nation requires resilient infrastructure; airfields, ports, camps, logistics hubs, and mobility corridors that allow our forces to operate effectively across our islands and maritime domain," he added.
Brawner underscored this during the 89th founding anniversary of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Corps of Engineers (AFPCOE) last March 12, a military statement on Friday said.
Likewise, the AFP chief highlighted the AFPCOE's contributions to the military for the past 89 years.
