Private firms expand EV charging facilities for electric taxis, TNVS
Manila, July 8 -- Grab Philippines (Grab), AC Mobility, and EVOxCharge have partnered to offer preferential charging rates for electric taxis (e-taxis) and electric transport network vehicle service (eTNVS) units at more than 600 charging stations nationwide.
In a statement Wednesday, Grab Financial Group Philippines country head CJ Lacsican said the partnership could reduce charging costs for e-taxis and eTNVS units on the platform by as much as 45 percent.
"Sustainability can no longer be treated as just a green movement. For us, it has become a kabuhayan (livelihood) commitment," Lacsican said.
The preferential rates are expected to improve the economics of operating electric vehicles on Grab, with e-taxis and eTNVS units currently...
