Police clears Bacolod student of illegal drug possession raps
BACOLOD CITY, July 22 -- The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) on Wednesday cleared the male Grade 9 student of a public high school here of charges after laboratory test results showed he did not possess illegal drugs in school.
He is considered a victim after another student put the fake "shabu" inside his school bag as a form of retaliation after their earlier conflict.
In a press conference, BCPO Director Col. Eugene Rebadomia said that based on the result released by the Philippine National Police Regional Forensic Unit, the two knot-tied sachets recovered from the student did not contain the prohibited substance shabu.
"It's negative for shabu. We cannot find a case (against the student)," he added.
