Manila, March 13 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has heightened security measures for the resumption of voter registration in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez, Jr., said Friday that he already instructed the Police Regional Office-BARMM to deploy a sufficient number of personnel on the ground to ensure a peaceful and orderly conduct of voters' registration drive in the region.

This is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla to ensure a peaceful, safe, and orderly election process in the region.
