Manila, May 10 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) has ordered preparations for potential lahar flow and other public safety hazards near Mayon Volcano due to the risk of heavy rain from Tropical Depression (TD) Caloy.

The Office of Civil Defense earlier raised concern over possible lahar flows due to the threat of Caloy, which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday evening.

The center of TD Caloy was estimated based on all available data at 770 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte as of the 11 a.m. update.
