PNP finalizing security preps for VP Sara impeachment trial
Manila, June 19 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said it is finalizing all necessary security preparations as the Senate gears up for the start of the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.
Aside from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said several police units may be tapped to strengthen the implementation of peace and order measures outside the Senate and ensure sufficient manpower for regular security rotations.
