PNP chief welcomes high trust rating amid reform gains
Manila, May 31 -- Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. welcomed the results of the latest nationwide "Boses ng Bayan" Index of Governance (IOG) survey released recently by RPMD Foundation Inc. as it recognized him as one of the highest-rated government officials in the country.
The survey, conducted from April 1 to 8, 2026 with 5,000 respondents, showed that Nartatez got an overall governance score of 78.8 percent, along with a 78.5 percent trust rating and 79.1 percent performance rating.
Nartatez said this reflects strong public approval of the PNP's peace and order efforts and ongoing reforms under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr..
