PNP calls for vigilant parenting after school security incident
Manila, June 12 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday urged parents to closely monitor their children's activities and social circles, stressing that parental guidance is crucial in preventing youth involvement in illegal activities and keeping schools safe.
The appeal came following an incident in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, where a Grade 7 student was found carrying drug paraphernalia and a knife on the first day of classes on June 8.
