Manila, July 7 -- The Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) has earned the highest Level A, or Gold Certification, under the Universal Postal Union's (UPU) S58 and S59 security standards for its Manila Central Mail Exchange (C-MEX).

PHLPost received the certification during a handover ceremony Monday night that coincided with the opening of the Regional Inception Workshop on Operational Readiness and Expanded Capabilities for Global E-commerce and Trade (OER Plus), which the Philippines is hosting.

UPU Regional Office Bangkok representative Ariya Thongbai said PHLPost scored 599 points in a comprehensive on-site review, exceeding the 558-point requirement for the gold certification. A minimum score of 434 points is required for the silver ...
