Manila, Sept. 1 -- Philippine Navy (PN) personnel have been deep at work in ensuring that people and communities affected by recent tropical cyclones and the southwest monsoon are effectively helped.

In a news release on Tuesday, the PN said it is coordinating with several local governments in Metro Manila to help in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations (HADR).

"The Navy's continuing HADR efforts began with the support of civilian partners. On Aug. 24, the Tanging Yaman Foundation, Inc.
