Manila, April 27 -- The Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development during the 82nd Session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), advocating for global cooperation and the protection of vulnerable sectors amid mounting geopolitical and climate challenges.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in a news release on Monday, said the session in Bangkok, Thailand was focused on the theme "Leaving no one behind: advancing a society for all ages in Asia and the Pacific."
The session brought together regional leaders to address disruptions in global supply chains, energy markets, and the accelerating impacts of climate change.
