PH boxing team seeks to end 16-year gold medal drought in Asian Games
Manila, Sept. 8 -- The Philippine boxing team will seek to end a 16-year gold medal drought in the 20th Asian Games set on Sept. 19 to Oct. 4 in Nagoya, Japan.
Olympic medalists Nesthy Petecio (60kg), Aira Villegas (51kg), Carlo Paalam (55 kg) and Eumir Marcial (80 kg) will lead the team that also include Riza Pasuit (54 kg), Junmilardo Ogayre (60 kg) and Norlan Petecio (70 kg).
"We have seven boxers. It's going to be a really tough task and the boxers know that.
