Manila, May 20 -- The Philippine Army (PA) on Wednesday said it earned a 79 percent trust rating in the 2026 first quarter survey conducted by OCTA Research, making it one of the country's most trusted public institutions.

The PA also received a 76 percent satisfaction rating in the survey conducted from March 19 to 25 using face-to-face interviews.

"The survey results showed that the Army's trust and satisfaction ratings were highest in Mindanao and the Visayas, particularly in the Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Western Visayas, and Northern Mindanao," Army spokesperson Col. Louie Dema-ala said in a statement.

Dema-ala said the results reflected the Army's role as a security protector, crisis responder, and institutional stabilizer.
