Manila, April 9 -- The Philippine Navy (PN) and the Royal Danish Embassy in Manila have launched a "commemorative logo" marking 80 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Denmark.

The launch on Tuesday took place aboard the PN's guided-missile frigate BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG-6) at the Naval Operating Base-Subic, Zambales, Navy public affairs office chief Capt. Marie Angelica Sisican said in a news release on Thursday.

Danish Ambassador to the Philippines Franz-Michael Mellbin and other Philippine government officials attended the event.

Sisican said PN Naval Systems Command chief Rear Admiral Juario Marayag represented Navy chief, Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Ezpeleta during the launch.
