PCSO turns over P26.5-M healthcare aid to Aklan
MANILA, June 2 -- The province of Aklan has received PHP26.5 million worth of patient transport vehicles (PTVs) and medical equipment from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) to help improve healthcare services in the province.
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles said the two PTVs are expected to improve patient mobility and emergency medical response in the province, particularly in geographically isolated and underserved communities.
Among the beneficiaries of the medical equipment is Dr. Rafael S. Tumbokon Memorial Hospital, which received a low-temperature plasma sterilizer, a fully automated PCR system, four ventilators, and an anesthesia machine.
