Manila, May 5 -- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has deployed additional Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) to Albay and Catanduanes to support ongoing emergency response efforts amid the continued unrest of Mayon Volcano.
The unit delivered to Albay comes as communities face the effects of ashfall and volcanic activity. A separate turnover for Catanduanes is scheduled as part of the agency's continuing assistance rollout.
Albay Governor Noel Rosal and Catanduanes Governor Patrick Alain Azanza were present during the turnover.
Data from the Office of Civil Defense shows that 102,406 individuals across 87 barangays in the Bicol Region have been affected by the volcanic activity.
